Day 1: FLIGHT PARIS - KUUSAMO

Welcome at the airport by a member of our team. Transfer to Hossa National Park (about 1 hour) and installation at the lodge. First evening, dinner at the Hossa lodge, and meeting with the guides.

Day 2: DOG SLED RAID

First meeting with your dogs, each one drives their team! You set off for a start of the route between lakeshores and peat bogs to familiarize yourself with driving. The feeling of sliding combined with the light breath of the dogs and the squeaking of the skates on the frozen lakes is truly an unforgettable experience. The circuit gradually becomes more forested and sometimes more technical. Picnic in the middle of nature at noon. Then you set off again for a very varied circuit: experienced in driving a team, you set off through the forest tracks of the park. After about twenty kilometers you arrive accompanied by your guide at our bivouac site: the Peurapirtti trapper's cabin. There you settle in before going to feed your team. Evening to relax and admire the sunset over Lake Iso Valkainen and its island before joining the warmth of a wood-fired sauna. In the cabin the wood stove crackles and outside the dogs fall asleep peacefully.

Day 3: DOG SLED RAID: LAKKUJARVI - SEPINIEMI

Passage through Laukkujärvi in ​​the north of the park, about 25 km in an area where it is not uncommon to come across herds of reindeer. Forest lakes of various shapes follow one another with passages in the undergrowth. The wide track sometimes narrows and with your team you slip into the heart of the wild taiga of the Hossa park. At the end of the afternoon you return to the base and take the time to take care of the dogs and the equipment. Meal at the inn.

Day 4: SNOWSHOE RAID

Departure for two days in the heart of the park with a different mode of transport. Like the Inuits in the past, a husky pulls you at the belt. This one, full of fire, transmits its enthusiasm to you in all circumstances, and allows you to advance at a good pace without having the impression of making an excessive effort. A unique experience of complicity and sharing between man and dog! Forest lakes of various shapes follow one another with more technical passages in the undergrowth. Installation in a trapper's cabin for the night. It is time to share a real moment of conviviality around a good meal cooked on a wood fire. Accommodation: Trapper's cabin

Day 5: SNOWSHOE RAID

Put on your snowshoes for a new day in the heart of the taiga, between ridges and river banks. The many crossings of frozen lakes will give you a clear view of the boreal forest. Picnic by the fire at noon and return to Hossa at the end of the afternoon for a well-deserved sauna. Accommodation: Chalet

Day 6: DOG SLED RAID: JATKONVAARA REGION

You find your husky teams and head north. The track through the forest takes us to the Tolosenvirta region where you have lunch. The track is sometimes narrower and takes you to the highest point of the park, Jatkonvaara Hill. You have a bird's eye view of the boreal forest that surrounds you as far as the eye can see. After 30 km you arrive at your cabin facing the lake. Accommodation: Trapper's cabin

Day 7: DOG SLED RAID

Last day of dog sledding. Many passages on the ridge as splendid as impressive will punctuate this last hike of about twenty kilometers, full of driving pleasure and yet already marked by nostalgia at the idea of ​​having to leave your faithful four-legged companions. Triumphant arrival and end of the raid in the middle or late afternoon depending on your speed of progression. In the evening, enjoy the traditional meal of the breeders: Karestus, or reindeer sauté with cranberries. Accommodation: Chalet

Day 8: FLIGHT KUUSAMO - PARIS

Depending on flight times, early breakfast then transfer to Kuusamo airport and flight to France; or breakfast and free time at the base (you will have at your disposal something to prepare a snack for lunch) then transfer to Kuusamo airport in the early afternoon and flight to France.
