Day 2: DOG SLED RAID
First meeting with your dogs, each one drives their team! You set off for a start of the route between lakeshores and peat bogs to familiarize yourself with driving. The feeling of sliding combined with the light breath of the dogs and the squeaking of the skates on the frozen lakes is truly an unforgettable experience. The circuit gradually becomes more forested and sometimes more technical. Picnic in the middle of nature at noon. Then you set off again for a very varied circuit: experienced in driving a team, you set off through the forest tracks of the park. After about twenty kilometers you arrive accompanied by your guide at our bivouac site: the Peurapirtti trapper's cabin. There you settle in before going to feed your team. Evening to relax and admire the sunset over Lake Iso Valkainen and its island before joining the warmth of a wood-fired sauna. In the cabin the wood stove crackles and outside the dogs fall asleep peacefully.
Accommodation: Trapper's cabin
Day 3: DOG SLED RAID: LAKKUJARVI - SEPINIEMI
Passage through Laukkujärvi in the north of the park, about 25 km in an area where it is not uncommon to come across herds of reindeer. Forest lakes of various shapes follow one another with passages in the undergrowth. The wide track sometimes narrows and with your team you slip into the heart of the wild taiga of the Hossa park. At the end of the afternoon you return to the base and take the time to take care of the dogs and the equipment. Meal at the inn.
